Le Mars Ice Cream Days Festival has become one of the Midwest’s top regional attractions. We’re just scratching the surface, but here are five things that make it a to do event for you and your family. 2021’s Festival is June 16-19
the Five Best Thingsabout Le Mars Ice Cream Days
Ice Cream Days is a time to celebrate the good life we enjoy in Le Mars and the surrounding area. Ice Cream puts smiles on people’s faces and puts a jump in your step. Come and get a dose. It’s what the world needs.
FOUR: Great Place to Meet Friends and Family
Ice Cream Days has evolved into a meeting place for friends and family. Classes gather, cousins kiss and friends connect. The beauty is all you have to do is show up. You’ll bump into someone you know and the smiles will flow.
THREE: The Parade
Everyone loves a parade, either to be in it or enjoy watching. It’s our chance to show off our community and invite noisy outsiders like the Shriners to keep the trees vertical on Central Avenue. Oh yeah, that’s another thing -- shady small town streets just like a Rockwell painting. Bring a folding chair or blanket. You’re welcome on any lawn.
TWO: Family Fun
We can’t emphasize the family part enough. Ice Cream Days exist for families. From concerts to fishing derbys. Scavenger hunts and frisbee golf. Bike rides or strolling by Alley Art. Most are free.
ONE: Free Ice Cream
Decisions! Decisions! Don’t be picky. Ice Cream Days is the time to try something new and exciting. Many of the events of Ice Cream Days offer free Ice Cream treats. Just look for the Ice Cream Cone icon on Ice Cream Days events. Dig in and enjoy it. Kids love it. Nothing puts a smile on a face like Ice Cream. It’s what makes Le Mars sweet!
